Upon request from the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS), International Medical Corps will provide support for management of the Ebola Treatment Center (ETC) at Gbomsamba. Additionally, negotiations about the construction of the facility in adherence with international standards have commenced.
Nationwide, Ebola House to House Talks and the concurrent lockdown will take place for a period of three days, from September 19 to 21 September, rather than four days as initially planned.
-On 3 and 4 September International Medical Corps facilitated an Ebola 101 training for over 50 staff of Street Child, a local NGO with more than 600 educators and program officers, nationwide in Sierra Leone. Trainees represented all 12 districts in Sierra Leone.
