Main highlights
For the 22nd August 2014, a total of 84 new samples were received and analysed by the Kailahun and Kenema Laboratory: Kailahun (7), Kenema (32),Kono(1),Bombali(7),Tonkolili (2),Port Loko(14),Pujehun(1),Bo (6),Moyamba(2), and Western Area (12).Fifty-six (56) of these samples are positive while 27 are negative with 1 pending Lab result as shown in table 1 below.
Two (2) of the 6 previous Lab pending results are positive from Kenema(1) and Port Loko (1) while the rest are negative
The cumulative number of Laboratory confirmedcasesare881whiles confirmed death is333with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) based on confirmed cases of 37.8.0%.
