The Institute of Advance Management and Technology (IAMTECH), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Abacha Youth Organization on 14th August made donations at State House to help government in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus disease (EVD).
The Executive Director of EPA, Madam Jatou Jallow presented a cheque of Le 400 Million to President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma as part of their contribution to fight the Ebola Virus.
Representative of IAMTECH, Mrs. Majorie Heed presented a cheque of Le 25 Million Leones as part of her institution’s contribution to the fight against the Ebola outbreak in the country and further extended heartfelt condolences for all those who have lost their lives as a result of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Abacha Youth Organization, Joseph Kamara alias Osoko, presented plastic buckets with taps, hand sanitizers, gloves and chlorine to President Koroma as part of their contributions to aid the national effort of combating EVD in the country.
President Koroma thanked all the contributors towards the fight against the Ebola outbreak. He commended the various institutions for their support especially in this trying moment and implored all to pay close attention to the precautions and regulations so that “we can all come together to win this fight.”
President Koroma further entreated the contributors to continue to educate their members about the deadly virus saying that every sick person must endeavour to report to the nearest hospital.
