For the 13th August 2014, a total of 32 new samples were received by the Kenema & Kailahun Laboratory: Kenema (6), Kailahun (16), Bo (4) and Western Area (6).Fifteen(15) of these samples are positive from Kenema (1),Kailahun (11),Bo (1) and Western Area (2).Thirteen (13) of the remaining samples are negative from Kailahun (5),Kenema (2),Bo (3) and Western Area (3) while 4 samples are recorded as pending Lab. result.(see table 1)
One (1) of the previous Lab. pending results is positive from Kenema(1) while 10 are negative from Kenema (8) and Bo (2)
Figures reported today for Kailahun are cumulative for 12-13 August,2014 as Kailahun district experienced poor internet connectivity yesterday
The cumulative number of Laboratory confirmed cases are 733 whiles confirmed death is 273 with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) based on confirmed cases of 37.2%.
