Preliminary data indicates that there were a total of 12 newly confirmed cases in the 2 most affected countries during the week to 24 May (9 in Guinea and 3 in Sierra Leone), compared to a total of 35 during the previous week.
In Sierra Leone, there have been no newly confirmed Ebola cases reported in the last 6 consecutive days (21 – 26 May inclusive), according to the National Ebola Response Centre (NERC).
