The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has donated $35 million to help West African countries to combat the Ebola epidemic, Islamic Development Bank (IDB) President Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali announced today. Dr. Ali said that the donation will be implemented by the IDB and includes providing thermal sensors and medical examination equipment to schools, airports, railway stations and bus stations to diagnose the disease, ensuring early treatment, thereby preventing further transmission of the disease.
The donation will also be used for establishing medical testing centers in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and Mali
