Coordination
The Logistics Cluster is facilitating the coordination between actors in Sierra Leone in order to mitigate any duplication of efforts and maximise the use of available logistics assets and resources:
Weekly coordination meetings held in Freetown), with the government, the UN Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER), health and humanitarian actors;
Coordination in Forward Logistics Bases (FLBs);
Coordination with other health actors and UNMEER on supply chain management;
Coordination with WHO, UNICEF, DFID, and UNMEER on the mapping of all in-country Ebola Treatment Units (ETUs) and Community Care Centre (CCCs);
A Civil Military Coordinator is based in Freetown to facilitate liaison between humanitarian and military counterparts (Sierra Leone and British armed forces).
