The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has awarded discharged certificates to 45 Ebola survivors at the Hastings Ebola Treatment Centre at Hastings.
Presenting the certificates to the survivors, the Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation II, Madam Madina Rahman revealed that the 45 survivors were among the third batch of 123 Ebola survivors discharged since the inception of the centre in September this year.
She disclosed that the Center is manned by Sierra Leonean doctors and nurses, and never contracted the disease since the start of operation at the Center.
The Coordinator of the Center, Dr. Santigie Sesay disclosed that the Center has admitted 278 Ebola patients with a cumulative discharged of 123 patients since the start of operations at the Center.
The ceremony coincided with donations from humanitarian organizations including the Young Business Women Hub, with love and passion for women and the girl child.
