Highlights
As part of its scale-up efforts and based on a request from the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS), International Medical Corps, in coordination with donors and other partners, will open and manage a new Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in Lunsar in the Northern Province. MOHS in Sierra Leone made a decision to change the proposed location of the ETU after a determination that the original site in Gbomsamba was unsuitable for an ETU.
International Medical Corps is coordinating with MOHS regarding the construction, supervision, and management of the ETU at Lunsar.
International Medical Corps assisted in training 36 health care workers on the use of PPE at the stadium on 19 and 20 September.
International Medical Corps is continuing discussions with MOHS about setting up and managing an ETU in or around Freetown.
